Sail Gloucester Fourth of July Celebration – from July 3-7, 2009.
SailGloucester welcomes the Barque Picton Castle on Saturday, July 4 mid morning into Gloucester Harbor and the Seaport (ETA subject to marine, wind and weather conditions). Other participating ships including the Spirit of Massachusetts, Schooner Lannon, American Eagle, Angelique, Lady Maryland, Louis R. French, and Gloucester’s very own Schooner Adventure (dockside only).
Public events and activities will include Welcome of Tall Ships and Sailing Vessels, Deck Tours and Dockside viewings from July 4-6, 2009, and on Tuesday, July 7 – a traditional Blessing of the Ship at the Cruiseport Terminal and afternoon Sail Out of Gloucester by the Barque Picton Castle and other schooners.
The updated schedule of events is available for download online at www.sailgloucester.org with times for deck tours, dockside viewings, available tall ship and schooner sails, downtown shopping and dining, and many other activities in the City of Gloucester.
